To augment existing wilderness conservation efforts, including anti-poaching, through the use of e-bikes, to allow rangers to cover more ground during patrols, in an environmentally friendly manner, whilst creating additional employment or up-skilling opportunities. 


By creating a e-bike conservation system, featuring e-bikes AND the supporting energy infrastructure to run them in remote locations, known as a Bikepod. Bikepods can be utilised at key locations in wilderness areas where the use of an e-bike can enhance current patrol efforts. 


In 2021, during a year long tour of wild places in East Africa, Devlin and Katie Fogg sat around a camp fire in Tanzania, talking about their passions for wilderness and bicycles, and how bicycles could have an impact on conservation efforts, be that anti-poaching or endangered species monitoring.



  • E-Bikes are silent, compared to quad-bikes, motorbikes and vehicles.

  • E-bikes motors effectively quadruple pedalling effort, removing the need for high levels of fitness associated with riding bicycles off road, allowing the rangers to easily cover the 50km daily patrol anticipated.

  • E-bikes are very low maintenance and have low running costs compared to other motorised options.

  • Bicycles can cover varied terrain that is not accessible by other motorised transport such as vehicles or quad-bikes. (EG. Can be carried across rivers or over gullies/ rocky areas)

  • E-bikes can cover significantly more ground than a foot patrol.

  • Bicycles are easily moved by other modes of transport such as vehicles, boats or aircraft/ choppers.


We believe that we are nothing in this project without deep partnerships we have created with existing conservation bodies and NGO's who already play a crucial role in the conservation and protection of wild places. Our aim is to support and augment the work they are doing, and in doing so, create a meaningful financial impact on their efforts.
